Kumovis to showcase new 3D printing solutions
Kumovis, developer of the world’s first FLM 3D printer built for medical production, is presenting new high-performance polymers at the leading trade fairs in medical technology and additive manufacturing. Reducing pressure for success
ENGEL is providing detailed information on all aspects of structural foam moulding at a three-day online conference from 17 to 19 November 2020. For the first time, the traditional foammelt conference will be a virtual event. Special capabilities of the Freeformer
When it comes to demanding AM parts, the Freeformer is in its element. The Arburg Plastic Freeforming (APF) process with the Freeformer is predestined for medical technology, the processing of soft materials and PP, as well as for the additive manufacturing of multi-component parts. Advanced for fuel cell technologies
The American manufacturer of heavy-duty, zero-emission engines Nuvera Fuel Cells, Billerica, Massachusetts is now using BASF’s polyphthalamide (PPA) Ultramid® Advanced N to manufacture several components in its latest generation of 45 kW fuel cell engines. The fuel cell engines will be integrated into transit buses and delivery vehicles in China over the next three years. The components, such as manifold, thermostat housing, check valve, ejector as well as exhaust pipes, require stable material properties across varying temperatures. UltramidÒ Advanced N3HG6 shows excellent thermal and chemical resistance, outstanding mechanical properties, high impact strength, good dimensional stability and a stable long-term performance. As some of the components are exposed to a variety of media through the cooling water, air and hydrogen channels, the PPA compound based on PA9T combines excellent chemical resistance with meeting the purity requirements for sensitive applications in fuel cells and electronic parts.

PerfoTec and Oerlemans Packaging Group will work together to further optimize the properties of sustainable packaging for fruit, vegetables and flowers. The machine manufacturer and packaging producer create a unique packaging technique that extends the produce shelf life and therefore reduces (food) waste. This all resulting in cost savings for the customers. Last week, the collaboration was officially confirmed at Oerlemans Packaging Group in Genderen, The Netherlands.
