Hot runner temperature control

The new T-Flow HRS Control Units from Oerlikon HRSflow, presented at NPE 2024, increase the precision and reliability of temperature control in hot runner injection moulding. Modular in design, there are three models, configurable to multiples of 6 zones.

Elastomer Processing

As leading developer and manufacturer of injection molding machines, the Austrian machine builder ENGEL, headquartered in Schwertberg, will showcase its expertise in elastomer processing at the German Rubber Conference (DKT) from July 1 to 4, 2024, in Nuremberg. By presenting two specialized exhibits, the family-owned company with a global footprint will demonstrate its technological competence in liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and rubber processing.

Unlocking Potential: ICE Europe 2025

With just under two-thirds of a year remaining until ICE Europe 2025, anticipation builds for the upcoming exhibition in Munich, Germany, from March 11th to 13th. Notably, 300 exhibitors from 20 countries have already booked and reserved 80% of the exhibition space, reflecting their support for the industry gathering. It’s a tough situation, calling for courage

At annual conference of the trade associations of plastics and rubber machinery, waste and recycling technology, EMINT, and the project group for hybrid lightweight technologies, Ulrich Ackermann, Head of VDMA Foreign Trade, addressed the geopolitical changes and their impact on the mechanical engineering industry: "The globalisation of the world economy is coming under increasing pressure. China is placing its focus on autonomy, resulting in knock-on effects for the European mechanical engineering industry, and in the US, the Biden administration has continued the "national approach" of the Trump government's trade policy in recent years. As a result, the world is heading towards a new bipolar world order." For the European mechanical engineering industry, this means the need to have its own production facilities in large target markets and being able to offer market-specific products. Many plastics and rubber machinery manufacturers have already adapted in that regard.

Predictive maintenance of industrial plants

The Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems IPMS presents a groundbreaking demonstrator for predictive maintenance of industrial equipment. The demonstrator uses advanced sensor technology combined with artificial intelligence (AI)-based data processing to detect potential machine damage at an early stage and avoid costly downtime.

25 million tonnes of recycled pellets every year

The EREMA Group, based in Ansfelden near Linz, Austria, closes the financial year 2023/24 with total revenues of EUR 380 million. A joint venture with the Lindner Group sees the group of companies expand its portfolio to include washing technology.
