Dr Daniel Orel, Managing Director of Arburg spol. s r.o., sees this year's MSV as trend-setting and more important than ever: "Our country is very much shaped by electromobility. There is some uncertainty and reluctance to invest in this area, although the market is developing positively overall." In this context, he emphasises the perfect services and reliable technology offered by Arburg and its partner companies.
Hot topics: Energy, recycling and alternative materials
According to Dr Orel, the main topics of MSV 2023 will be energy consumption, recycling and the processing of recycled or alternative materials. Trade visitors will be able to see two exhibits that really pack a punch at the Arburg stand. A hybrid Allrounder 470 H "Premium" with a clamping force of 800 kN will be producing PC beer mugs live in a cycle time of 36.5 seconds. The release of the milestone machine this year marks Arburg's launch of a new generation of machines that are particularly good at saving energy and conserving resources, as well as production-efficient, user-friendly and reliable. The new machines also significantly reduce acquisition and operating costs. For handling, the exhibit will be equipped with a Multilift Select linear robotic system.
Comprehensive turnkey system
The second exhibit will demonstrate how even very complex automation tasks can be mastered: a Kuka six-axis robot will be programmed to independently assemble a model of an Allrounder injection moulding machine from toy building blocks and then disassemble it again.
This application demonstrates the Arburg Czechia team's extensive expertise in the turnkey sector. The subsidiary is an important hub for turnkey solutions and project management in the European Arburg network. Customised turnkey systems, among other things, are designed, built, assembled and commissioned at the Arburg Technology Factory (ATF) in Brno.
The familiar and reliable "Comprehensive carefree package" for all customers continues to include application technology cooperation and support with regard to energy and production efficiency, as well as a wide range of training courses. These highlight many specific options for optimising energy requirements throughout the entire production process, thereby significantly reducing costs in injection moulding production. Dr Orel also feels that Arburg is very well positioned in the areas of service and consulting. In March 2023, for example, Arburg launched its "Action Plan: Energy". The plan is based on individual energy consultations including energy measurements at the customer's premises. His hope is that MSV 2023 will return to its pre-coronavirus heyday in terms of visitor and exhibitor numbers.
