Like several other global players, Brückner has thus successfully been represented in Slovakia at a very early stage. The country is one of the industrial investment priorities in Europe and offers excellent conditions for mechanical engineering companies: good supplier structures, a qualified workforce, and excellent universities.
Due to the positive development, after several years in rented halls, the company built its own plant in Topolcany in western Slovakia in 2011, where other high-ranking industrial companies are based, too. Topolcany is now home to the world's largest assembly plant for film stretching systems; most recently, a highly automated assembly line for chains and clips was opened in 2020, thus increasing capacity by a good 30%.
In 2023, another new production hall with 7,000 square meters was built, and in June 2024 an additional hall with 4,800 square meters will be put into operation, a renewed commitment to the Topolcany site and the growth of Brückner Group.
Since its foundation 20 years ago, the number of employees at Brückner Slovakia has grown from 34 to over 450, mainly highly qualified specialists. From 2021 to today alone, the number of employees has doubled.
Eckhard Böker, Managing Director of Brückner Slovakia: "Our customers from all over the world are enthusiastic about Slovakia as a location and about the services provided by Brückner Slovakia. The development of new information and production technologies in combination with the know-how of our team opens up a number of positive development opportunities for us, such as increasing the vertical integration in commissioning services and software testing in Slovakia. We are looking forward to it."
