A DIFFICULT START FOR THE YEAR ITALY
The import-export data recently published by ISTAT and elaborated by the Statistical Studies Centre of Amaplast (national trade association, member of CONFINDUSTRIA) points to declining foreign trade flows during the first three months of the year, with losses in March reaching 7% for imports and 13% for exports with respect to the same period in 2019.

The recent emergency caused by the “Coronavirus” (Covid 19) epidemic is a source of concern for Italy’s exporting companies, above all those which have intense business relationships with China.
FAITH IN THE RUSSIAN MARKET
There will be more than 40 Italian companies taking part in the Italian collective organized by Amaplast - the trade association, member of CONFINDUSTRIA, including over 160 manufacturers of machinery, equipment, and moulds for plastics and rubber processing - at the twenty-third edition of the specialized exhibition in Moscow on 28-31 January 2020. Approximately twenty other Italian companies will also participate, either on their own or via the stands of their local partners.

A negative year-end result is expected for the Italian plastics and rubber processing machinery in- dustry as reiterated in the foreign trade data just published by ISTAT (Italian National Statistical In- stitute) for January-September, analysed by the Amaplast Studies Center.
