Climate- and environmentally-friendly action and a conscious decision in favor of sustainable packaging are continuing to gain in importance as well as form decisive purchasing criteria. Environmentally-polluting manufacturing and disposal problems are to be minimized in the production of packaging materials and critical components which could migrate from them to food or other filled goods are to be eliminated. For decades now, Actega has been relying on sealant compounds which are free of PVC and plasticizers for beverage and food packaging: since the early 1980s for crown caps and aluminum seals, since 2006 for metal composite seals, 2011 for Twist-Off® seals, and 2016 for P/T seals. In the form of PROVALIN® and ACTGreen® PROVALIN®, the very first alternatives without PVC and phthalates for the last ones were launched onto the market which meet strongest EU guidelines and therefore guarantee a high degree of food safety. Today, PROVALIN® can look back on 10 years of its brand which, although it has had to evolve step by step, is now definitely characterized by success.
