Battery recycling process

A consortium with partners from research and development as well as educational experts has developed concepts and qualification programs for future educational standards in the field of battery cell production. The SKZ Plastics Center is also involved here. Protect electric vehicle batteries

Automotive experts from Huntsman have added a series of new lightweight, durable polyurethane foam technologies to the company’s battery solutions portfolio that have been developed for the potting and fixation of cells mounted in electric vehicle (EV) batteries. The new range also includes products that can be used as a moldable encapsulant in battery modules or packs.

How batteries can become more sustainable

To meet future battery demand and make energy more sustainable, battery production must become greener and more cost-effective. This can be achieved by reducing the energy consumption of battery production and by using digital tools to improve the entire process. The SKZ Plastics Center is part of the BATMACHINE research project to address this issue.
