Reopening of the Arburg Technology Center

The Arburg Technology Center (ATC) in Rednitzhembach has been extensively renovated, modernised and significantly enlarged since the autumn of 2022. During the transition period, the Arburg team supported customers on site with great commitment and flexibility. On 3 July 2025, Michael Hehl, Managing Partner of Arburg and Spokesman of the Management Board, and Tobias Baur, Managing Director Sales and After Sales, cut the ribbon for the official reopening in the presence of ATC Manager Johannes Herbst and project participants. The celebrations were followed by an Open Day with around 170 guests.

ENGEL at K 2025:

At K 2025, ENGEL will demonstrate how technological innovation, digital intelligence and sustainability can be effectively combined. The trade fair presentation focuses on industry-specific injection moulding solutions that enable companies to manufacture more efficiently, precisely and flexibly. ENGEL will showcase its technologies and solutions in practical operation – from the use of artificial intelligence in the running injection moulding process to highly integrated production cells for the automotive, medical, technical moulding and packaging sectors. Visitors are invited to gain a comprehensive overview of future-proof applications at ENGEL’s stand in Düsseldorf – and to witness the world premiere of a new electric tie-bar-less injection moulding machine.

Servoelectric cold runner molds for LSR

The patent-pending SMARTshot I cold runner measurement and control concept incorporating servoelectrically actuated nozzle needles, currently under development by LSR mold specialist Elmet, is an intelligent variant of the SMARTshot E system. Once deployed in a practical setting, entirely automatic startup will be possible as will controlled family molds with cavities of differing volumes that do not require additional sensor systems. This will enable cascaded injection processes with time-delayed opening and closing movements as well as injection processes with partially open needles for simultaneously filling cavities with different volumetric flow rates per nozzle. Elmet will give an update of this new concept at LSR 2025 (16 to 19 June 2025 in Irvine, California).

ENGEL acquires long-standing partner Roegele

Injection moulding machine manufacturer ENGEL is continuing to advance its internationalisation strategy and, as of 1 April 2026, will acquire its long-standing sales partner Roegele in Spain. This move strengthens ENGEL’s presence in the south-western European market and marks the establishment of a new subsidiary: ENGEL Spain.

Halogen-free flame retardant (HFFR) for PP

As an alternative to chlorine- or bromine-based flame retardants, Tosaf's portfolio now also includes highly active, halogen-free (HFFR) grades, which enable more sustainable solutions to fulfil customer requirements and legal specifications. FR8719PP is specifically designed to meet the flame-retardant requirements of polypropylene in injection moulding and extrusion applications.

Technology Days 2025

Customers, partners, Arburg - the world of plastics was full of enthusiasm for the Technology Days 2025. Around 4,000 customers from 44 nations visited Lossburg from 19 to 21 March to experience Arburg as a strong solution partner and trendsetter in the plastics industry and a also as a leading company in terms of sustainability and digitalisation. Visitors received the right answers to future-relevant topics at arburgSOLUTIONworld, which covers all the issues facing injection moulding companies today and tomorrow. More than 40 machine exhibits from the fields of injection moulding, turnkey and additive manufacturing were also on display.

Arburg wins three "Gold" and one "Silver" award

Arburg with its sister companies AMKmotion and ARBURGadditive were nominated in four categories in the "Product of the Year 2025" competition organized by the trade publications "Kunststoff Magazin" and "Industrial Production". Over 3,300 readers voted and gave the Arburg Group's products excellent ratings: First place went to the Allrounder 720 E Golden Electric in the Production category, the "aXw Control RecyclatePilot" control function in the Peripherals category and the ihD5 servo inverter in the Drive Technology category. In addition, grippers that were 3D printed on demand came second in the Workplace and Equipment category.

Training Arburg company history

Those who know more about the history of their company are also more emotionally connected to it, and this year Arburg is celebrating 75 years of training. Two good reasons for the machine manufacturer's first "History Week" in Lossburg. From 5 to 11 December 2024, the new trainees and students delved deep into the company archive during workshops and experienced Arburg's history in an active and multimedia way.

Industrial 3D printing

At Fakuma 2024, Arburg (Hall A3, Stand 3101) is showcasing two exhibits used for industrial additive manufacturing. The focus will be on applications that are of particular interest to injection moulding customers. A Freeformer 750-3X with a high temperature design will process original plastic granules into functional components in hard-soft combinations. The TiQ 2 filament printer will demonstrate how equipment and robot grippers are 3D printed.

75th year of training

On 2 September 2024, a total of 75 trainees and students from the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) began their professional careers at Arburg. They were welcomed by Steffen Kroner, the new Managing Director Finance, Controlling, IT and HR Management, and by Training Manager Michael Vieth, whose first working day at Arburg was exactly 40 years ago.

At Fakuma 2024 in Friedrichshafen, Arburg (hall A3, stand 3101) will once again be offering an interactive exhibition area: the striking arburgSOLUTIONworld brings together Arburg's comprehensive consulting and solution expertise in all aspects of plastics processing, and is a space where trade visitors can obtain individual answers to their questions on key topics of the future. Arburg experts will be on hand to offer advice at six stations around the four-metre-high LED column. There will also be an interesting new exhibition wall with an integrated "transparent" machine, where the company's digital products and services will be brought to life.

i-mold: Two Decades in Injection Mold Making

It’s now two years since i-mold was set up as a separate, independent supplier to injection mold makers. In fact, it was twenty years ago that Managing Director Andy Walter started building i-mold’s now global reputation as a supplier to injection mold makers from the company’s first base in Brensbach in the Odenwald, a low mountain range in the center of Germany. i mold’s primary focus is on the in-house development and manufacture of tunnel gate inserts (TGI). Another string to its bow is the distribution of Heatlock hot runner systems, Nanomold coatings and gate adjusters. Since August 2023, i-mold has been enjoying its spacious new premises in Michelstadt, still in the same region, where there is plenty of room for future expansion.

555th Allrounder for Hongfa

The number five is lucky in China, standing for the five blessings of wealth, good fortune, longevity, happiness and abundance for which one should strive. In this spirit, the purchase of the 555th Allrounder from Arburg surely means three times the good fortune. Reason enough to mark the official machine handover with high-ranking representatives from long-standing partners Xiamen Hongfa Electroacoustic and Arburg.

Haitian Open House 2024

From 25. – 27. June, Haitian International Germany proudly hosted its annual Open House, welcoming approximately 1,000 visitors over three days. Held at the European Headquarters in Ebermannsdorf, Bavaria, the event has become a major showcase for the entire product range and capabilities of the Haitian Group, attracting interest and customers from all over Europe. This year set a new record for visitor numbers, highlighting the growing interest and appeal of Haitian’s industry solutions.

Focus on new machines and upcoming topics

Arburg will be attending Fakuma 2024 from 15 to 19 October on Stand 3101 in Hall A3 with eleven exhibits, plus seven additional Allrounders on partner stands. The arburgSOLUTIONworld, augmented by a new exhibition wall on digitalisation including a transparent machine, will highlight compelling upcoming topics for customers. The German premiere of the electric Allrounder 720 E Golden Electric in a new design will be another highlight. Impressive applications and innovative processes, for sectors such as medicine, personal care, leisure and additive manufacturing for example, are set to be presented. Arburg will also be getting involved in the "Mould your future" initiative - not only on Careers Friday at the trade fair, but on the Saturday as well.

Efficient processing of solid silicone (HCR)

From 1 to 4 July 2024, Arburg will be presenting its extensive portfolio for elastomer processing at the German Rubber Conference DKT in Nuremberg, Germany. The exhibit at Arburg's stand 327 in hall 9 will produce bottle openers made of solid silicone (HCR, high consistency rubber) for demonstration purposes. For this, the electric machine will be equipped with a material feed in the new M size from partner company ACH Solution.

TOP 700 LSR Dosing System

At NPE 2024, which runs from May 6 to 10 in Orlando, Florida, ELMET premieres its new, ultra-compact TOP 700 dosing system for injection molding liquid silicone rubber (LSR). Newly developed from the ground up, TOP 700, the most compact 20 liter system on the market, meets industry demand for a combination of cost-effectiveness, process-stable efficiency and the smallest possible footprint. Moreover, the TOP 700 provides the same high precision dosing of silicones and additives as Elmet’s flagship TOP 7000 Pro dosing system with its 200 or 20 liter drum size which was launched back in 2021, so ensuring perfect part quality.
