Focus on mobility and automation
At Chinaplas, which takes place from 23 to 26 April 2024, Arburg will present itself as a comprehensive technology and system partner for the efficient production of plastic parts. At stand D 42 in hall 4.1, the focus will be on applications for the automotive and medical industries. Three Allrounder exhibits will demonstrate the fully automatic overmoulding of inserts, the processing of liquid silicone (LSR) and the production of sophisticated medical components. In addition to injection moulding technology, Arburg will showcase additive manufacturing and automation and offer trade visitors comprehensive and individual advice in the interactive arburgSOLUTIONworld exhibition area.
Factory of the Year 2023
In the production contest organized by Fraunhofer Austria and the Industriemagazin, our large-tonnage machine plant in St. Valentin won the title of "Factory of the Year 2023" and was thus named the best production company in Austria. Together with the other ENGEL production sites, the plant forms a global and high-performance network for manufacturing at the cutting edge of technology.
Injection molding machine with 8800 t
With a clamping force of 88,000 kN and an injection volume of 134,000 cm³, the servo-hydraulic two-platen machine Haitian Jupiter Series sets a new industry standard - a milestone in the development of giga injection molding machines.
World market leaders
To achieve this, you have to have done a lot of things right! Once again, Black Forest injection moulding machine manufacturer Arburg from Lossburg is back on the list of German world market leaders. Every year, the University of St. Gallen lists the top 450 companies "Made in Germany" based on a number of strict criteria. Arburg has met all of them and outstandingly too!
Women power at Arburg!
First listen, then have your say: What was and is the role of women at Arburg and what will be their role in the future? The programme included informative and in-depth lectures by historian Dr Sabine Kob and Arburg archivist Katharina Depner as well as an engaging panel discussion. This fascinating topic attracted around 60 employees and the two Arburg Managing Partners Juliane Hehl and Renate Keinath to the "Frauen@Arburg" network event at the company headquarters in Lossburg on 24 October 2023.
Allrounder 920 H
Arburg will be present at Fakuma 2023 with nine exhibits on Stand 3101 in Hall A3, plus ten additional machines on partner stands. In a live demonstration, a hybrid Allrounder 920 H with a clamping force of 5,000 kN will produce the main components of the much sought-after toolbox in the Arburg design. The turnkey system also includes a Scara robot integrated into the machine controller, a Multilift V linear robot system and an innovative tool carrier facility. The high-quality plastic product will be completed by hand and the stylish toolbox handed out to the trade fair visitors.
100th Allrounder for H&K Müller
This year, more than 50 years of cooperation between H&K Müller GmbH & Co. KG and Arburg were crowned by the delivery of the company's 100th machine. The hydraulic Allrounder 420 C Golden Edition is equipped with a Multilift Select handling device and produces screw-top cans as well as measuring and dosing spoons for the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food sectors.
Solutions for the meta topics of energy
At Fakuma in Friedrichshafen, Germany, from 17 to 21 October 2023, Arburg will be showcasing its exceptional ability to deliver solutions in plastics processing. “There is only a Plan A” will show how more sustainability, digitalisation and automation can be realised in the plastics world. One highlight will be the premiere of the Allrounder 520 H, which is the second machine size with new hybrid machine technology to be presented by Arburg this year. In the “arburgSOLUTIONworld”, which is also new, visitors to the fair will find out how they can save energy and increase efficiency in their operations, as well as compensate for the shortage of skilled workers. Nine exhibits on the company's own stand in Hall A3 and another ten machines on partner stands will also be giving live demonstrations of exciting applications, processes and trends in injection moulding and 3D printing.
Monitor mould temperature control
Mould temperature control has a significant impact on product quality and the energy efficiency of the injection moulding process. To take even greater advantage of the resulting potential for process optimisation, ENGEL is making it easy to get started with electronic temperature difference monitoring, beginning with the new eco-flomo temperature control water manifold system at the Fakuma 2023 trade show.
Energy-efficient injection moulding
The MSV International Engineering Fair in Brno, Czechia, is considered the most important industry exhibition in East-Central Europe. From 10 to 13 October 2023, Arburg will be there in Hall G1, Stand 28, with its usual mix of innovative and future-oriented exhibits. An Allrounder 470 H will be producing "grab and go" products live, in the form of 0.5-litre beer mugs made of PC. Sophisticated automation will be demonstrated by a Kuka six-axis robot that the turnkey experts from Arburg Czechia have programmed to assemble a model Allrounder fully automatically.
Injection moulding: greener, smarter, more efficient
At Plast, which takes place from 5 to 8 September, ENGEL will be demonstrating highly innovative applications and integrated solutions to make injection moulding more efficient, cost-effective and sustainable. For the benefit of a leaner and more resilient production.
Arburg banks on growing willingness to invest
Arburg's expectations in Italy for the second half of the year are based on an increase in industrial production and rising investment. Arburg is responding to buyers' desire to save energy and the country's increased need for sustainability with its presence at Plast 2023 in Milan (stand C/D 61/62 in Hall 22). From 5 to 8 September Arburg will show the full range of technologies and will also present an interesting cooperation with Sverital in the field of silicone processing.
Practical guide to saving energy
Saving energy is about more than achieving competitive unit costs. It is about taking responsibility for the environment, the climate and future generations. Every company has set itself the goal of saving energy. But which measures work, and how much do they achieve? And what are the specifics of on-premises operation that need to be taken into account? – These questions are not easy to answer. ENGEL is offering support to injection moulding companies in the form of a new series of events. The series kicks off from 28 to 29 September 2023 in Austria.
A stroke of genius: hybrid drive system
Electric drives are becoming increasingly important in injection moulding, particularly with regard to energy efficiency. However, hydraulic drives are not without their advantages, providing powerful injection capacities and cost efficiency. The ideal solution is to combine both drive systems, as the Allrounders from Arburg’s new generation of machines successfully demonstrate: the Allrounder 470 H anniversary machine is characterised by low acquisition and operating costs, a reduced carbon footprint and an energy requirement equivalent to that of electric machines.
2-component injection moulding of Luer connectors
At the Interplas in Birmingham from 26 to 28 September 2023, Arburg (Stand H4/Hall 4) will be exhibiting an efficient production cell that produces Luer connectors made of PP and TPE for the pharmaceutical industry. The centrepiece is a two-component Allrounder More 1600 injection moulding machine, handled by a Yaskawa six-axis robot. Closures are capped and threads unscrewed directly in the mould. The innovative high-end solution eliminates the need for a second mould and additional assembly line. This significantly reduces the manufacturing costs.
Trend-setting with servo systems
In 2023, Servomold GmbH & Co. KG celebrates 25 successful years as a specialist for the automation of injection mould tools. The company's roots go back to May 1998, when Bianca and Thomas Meister founded Exacon Verwaltungs GmbH in their home in the Odenwald region of Germany, offering services related to the design and development of injection moulds. Still under their management today, their company, with 28 employees, is now one of the world's most innovative and efficient developers, manufacturers and suppliers of servo systems for injection moulding. Despite its eventful history, Servomold has remained true to its Odenwald location.
