"We assume responsibility"

"We assume responsibility" – under this slogan the RKW sustainability campaign runs from today until the European Sustainability Week (September 20 to 26). Among other things, the initiative is accompanied by environmental protection measures at the European locations of the RKW Group. The final event will be the participation of the RKW headquarters at the “RhineCleanUp-initiative”, September 12 – a joint waste collection on the Frankenthal section of the Rhine River.

Produce FFP2 Protective Masks

Maintaining the health system and protecting medical and nursing staff are among the most important and urgent tasks during the current Corona pandemic. The film manufacturer RKW, Sporlastic, a company specialized on the production of bandages and orthoses, the Gherzi Consulting Group as well as other partners have therefore combined their expertise and capacities in the FIGHT consortium to jointly produce urgently needed FFP-2 type protective masks.

RKW Expands Production Capacity

RKW has expanded its production capacity for waste bags at the Echte Site. The company commissioned two new production lines with a capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year. This brings the film manufacturer's total stock to ten lines with an annual capacity of 15,000 tonnes. The continuous expansion measures in this product area are linked to a strong and long-term partnership with Emil Deiss KG.

RKW Wins iNOVA Awards

The website rkw-group.com has won two prizes at the renowned international iNOVA Awards. Silver was awarded in the category “Corporate Website Company” as well as in the industry category „Film Solutions and Nonwovens“.

Form, Fill & Seal: Sustainable Film Solutions

At this year's UPAKOVKA, Russia's largest trade fair for processing and packaging machinery (to take place from January 28 to 31), RKW will be presenting its sustainable plastic packaging solutions for industrial pur-poses. This topic is currently gaining traction in the Russian market, which is why film specialist RKW will be attending the fair for the first time since 2015 – sending a clear signal and underlining its position as the leading provider of sustainable industrial packaging in Russia.

RKW Sustainability Report 2.0

For the film manufacturer RKW, sustainability is a central tenet of company policy. In the new edition of its sustainability report, RKW sets another example by its achievements in economy, ecology and social causes. The sustainability report contains information on all of the activities and measures by which the company fulfills its environmental obligations.
