Kiilto, a manufacturer of chemical industry products and Woodly, a Finnish company that has developed a novel wood-based plastic, are working together to develop Woodly packages for domestic cleaning products manufactured by Kiilto. The goal is to launch the first novel packages by the end of 2021.

PackTheFuture Award 2020
58 entries, 14 nominees and 10 award winners - this is the positive outcome of the PackTheFuture Award 2020. While the award ceremony had to be postponed due to the current corona pandemic, the organizing associations of the plastic packaging industry IK and ELIPSO were pleased to inform the winners about their awards.
Syntegon building on stable business performance
The process and packaging technology specialist Syntegon, formerly Bosch Packaging Technology, reported stable business performance in 2019. Sales increased to 1.33 billion euros (2018: 1.28 billion euros), and new orders also rose slightly. In the wake of the coronavirus crisis, the systems supplier to the pharmaceutical and food industries is seeing increased demand in its services business. Since interpack – the largest trade show in the industry that was originally scheduled for May – has now been postponed until next year due to the coronavirus pandemic, Syntegon is presenting its latest process and packaging technology at a virtual trade show from today until May 13. In this context, a special focus is on intelligent and sustainable technologies for the pharmaceutical and food industries. Following the introduction of the Syntegon corporate brand at the beginning of the year, the company is also unveiling its new product design for the first time at the event.
Packaging with a Future
ENGEL is committed to greater sustainability of plastic packaging. In collaboration with six other companies from the Austrian packaging industry, the injection moulding machine manufacturer founded the "Verpackung mit Zukunft” (Packaging with a Future) platform. The aim of the initiative is to improve public awareness of meaningful use of packaging. The companies are taking an active role in the development of a global circular economy for plastic packaging.

Indian interpack alliance trade fairs
The second edition of the combined interpack alliance trade fairs pacprocess India, food pex India and the parallel drink technology India trade fair organised by Messe München was well received by visitors.
